Erin Myers. These are beautiful, heirloom quality Christmas stockings, handmade by me. I learned how to make these festive crocheted stockings from my Aunt. She gave me my first one when I was a baby and I’ve loved it since. Not only do I still have it 30 years later –and hang it proudly –but it’s still in great condition even though it was stuffed full of goodies year after year.
These stockings are lovely and will look wonderful hanging from wherever you choose to display them. I’m certain that you or your loved one will treasure them for years to come. Beautiful, handmade stockings make terrific Christmas gifts, but they would also be wonderful as wedding or new baby gifts - anytime of the year!
This particular stocking is made up of tricolor squares. Each square has a center and outer ring of white with alternating rings of green and red. The stocking is finished off with a white cuff. A sturdy crocheted hanger is attached to the cuff for ease of use. Please see the yarn swatch to get a better idea of the true colors of the red and green yarns used. They are a hunter green and burgundy red.
